Alice in Wonderland Relief Society Birthday Celebration

"I wonder if I've been changed in the night? Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I'm not the same, the next question is, 'Who in the world am I?' Ah, that's the great puzzle!"     -Alice

We talked about the fact that we are daughters of our Heavenly Father,  and we read from Daughters in My Kingdom about living up to our potential. We also read excerpts from the Feb. 2012 Ensign Q&A about how we can more fully feel Heavenly Father's love in our life.

We enjoyed a tea party style dinner with finger sandwiches, salad, and fruit. The tables were decorated with tea cups filled with candy, breadsticks standing up in jars, thought-provoking quotes from Alice in Wonderland, and water bottles with, "drink me" labels. We had sisters bake beautiful cakes that were placed in the center of each table. They were decorative and also served as dessert!

For our craft project, we made decorative pickle jar stands.

French Bread

Today I made French bread.  My mom and dad brought me the pan for making French bread from S.C. two weeks ago, and I've been dying to find the time to use it.  Today was the day!  Yay!  Our family consumed half of a loaf while it was still warm.   With a generous slather of homemade freezer orange marmalade, it was delish! Thanks to Bread Experience for the recipe!
